Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Michelin quality food in a relaxed atmosphere. Dined here with my family. The service was great despite the restaurant being very full. The food was outstanding, there was not one thing that my entire family did not like. The tiramisu and ice cream were favorites. The cored cheese was an interesting novelty that had some very unique flavors."
"We were lucky enough to get the last available table at 7:30 on a Friday evening not having booked. Delicious meal (faux fillet & lotte) with a great Saumur Champigny veilles vignes to accompany."
"2025 Had lunch and dinner this time. All dishes are delicious. Highly recommended this restaurant. Reversation is a must. 2024 Lunch: The avocado tartare, fish fillet and duck breast are delicious. Reservations are recommended for lunch. There may be no seats available at the walk-in. Located in the old town. Dinner: Eat here again for the duck breast. Tonight's duck breast is perfect. It was the most delicious duck breast ever tasted, and the pumpkin puree also went well with it. Salmon as a starter is okay, but the salmon only has two small slices. Monkfish as a main course looks great (there are pictures to prove it) but the taste and texture are average. Pineapple Tart as dessert tastes so good and fresh. The bread that came with the dish was cold and hard, the worst I have ever had in recent times. I understand that it is difficult for a restaurant to maintain a high level of standard in every dish. Service has always been professional."
"Traditional French cuisine served by an excellent staff. The staff were incredibly attentive and polite. The food was beyond compare. The restaurant is situated in old Tours and picturesque as well as comfortable."
"Only reachable by foot in the pedestrian streets of the old town. The restaurants deserve its ranking among the best tables in town. Menus in English and in French as standard, cuisine raffinée, impeccable service, good wines. A Gem"
"We had the most wonderful and unexpected experience in this restaurant! Mrs. Elizabeth, cheffe de salle, was super nice and attentive! The food was really good, exquisite flavours, textures and presentation!! Definitely recommend if you're in town!"
"Delicious food and a good selection of local wines. We walked in off the street and were lucky to get a table - I would recommend booking! Staff were attentive and very accommodating."
"Absolutely incredible experience at Lá Deuvalerie in Tours! From the moment we walked in, everything was flawless. The food was outstanding — beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and clearly made with great care and passion. Every dish exceeded our expectations. A special mention goes to Elisabete, who took care of us and was truly impeccable. Her warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made the experience even more memorable. She made us feel genuinely welcome and perfectly guided us through the menu. The atmosphere was charming and relaxed, making it the perfect place for a special meal. Lá Deuvalerie is a true gem in Tours, and we can’t recommend it highly enough. We’ll definitely be back!"
